  • Poetry » Dramatic, General Re: Heart Broken

Hi again! I feel the same way about this poem as I did about the one I just reviewed of yours - it's good, but it's very short. I do ...

  • Poetry » Dramatic, General Re: I miss your love

Hi! I think this is very sweet. It rhymes very well and flows nicely, and it's quite cute. I think the exclamation point at the end also adds to this ...

  • Poetry » Other, General Re: Antidi... ant... antidises... oh whatever!

 I like haiku, and I particularly like this one. It made me laugh. I suppose read outloud it doesn't really sound like a haiku - it's not very poetic, ...

  • Poetry » Other, General Re: haiku - life

Hey! I like the second poem and since haiku are a little difficult to critique, I can't really find anything wrong with it. It sounds good. However the first haiku ...

  • Poetry » Other, General Re: Sky

Hello! There is a lot of repetition in here, and when something is repeated once or twice, it works quite well, but if there's too much, it becomes less effective. ...

  • Poetry » Other, General Re: The End

Hello! I'm not sure what to say to this, I found it rather strange. The end of the first line seemed to be forced to make it rhyme with the ...

  • Poetry » Lyrical, General Re: Love is Better in the Snow

I agree with MayApple that the lines are a little difficult to read when they're that long, so maybe try splitting them as she suggested. I also thought the first ...

  • Poetry » Lyrical, General Re: Scared Writer

Hi! This is short and sweet, but I think it could flow a lot better. The third line sounds a little too long and interrupts the flow a bit, so ...

  • Poetry » Dramatic, General Re: Love's Most Sinister Whisper

Hello! I really like this. It's well written, has good rhyming and it flows well. However, a couple of lines, such as "Trapped forever in love's labyrinth abyss" were a ...

  • Poetry » Dramatic, General Re: the pain of war

Hey! This poem has potential. There are a few niggly little things, though - in the fourth line you say "I am scared," and this is very blunt. I think ...

  • Poetry » Narrative, General Re: the problem with poetry

Hello! I usually don't like poems about writing poetry, but this was pretty good. It's light-hearted, just as a poem with this theme should be, and the rhyming scheme adds ...

  • Poetry » Dramatic, General Re: old nights

Hi! There are a lot of ideas crammed into this poem, loads of imagery, and I like it. I like the idea of nights being old. It sounded to me ...

  • Poetry » Dramatic, General Re: You Came Too Late

Hi! I quite like the imagery in this - the snow, the rain, etc, though it is a little cliché, waiting in the rain for someone. I like the rhyming ...

  • Poetry » Dramatic, General Re: Cracking Ice

I like the theme to this poem, and how you kept it throughout. However, this is a bit confusing, the way it's written: "Bittersweet wind, crisp / stinging my face". ...

  • Poetry » Dramatic, General Re: Stay with me

The rhyming is indeed forced. You could try just thinking about what you want to say and what you want your reader to get from the poem - that should ...

This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much all of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.
